SMBC Nikko Securities America, Inc. Debt Capital Markets Team Hires Senior Bankers; Amanda Boggs and Kashif M. Malik Join as Managing Directors

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–SMBC Nikko Securities America, Inc., a member of the SMBC Group, today announced that Amanda Boggs and Kashif M. Malik have joined the firm as Managing Directors, Debt Capital Markets. They will work closely with and help direct the firm’s debt capital markets business, offering their expertise in the respective sectors to drive business and customer growth. Both Amanda and Kashif are based in New York.

Amanda joins SMBC Nikko Securities America, Inc. from Citigroup, where she has spent the past 21 years, most recently as Managing Director, Fixed Income Capital Markets. She also served as North American Head of Green and Sustainable Capital Markets. In these roles, Amanda has served dozens of high-quality clients from the energy and other sectors, including diversified industries, consumer/retail, and media and technology.

Amanda received her Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Policy and Government from Colby College, Waterville, ME.

Kashif joins SMBC Nikko Securities America, Inc. from Credit Suisse, where he spent the past 12 years, most recently as Managing Director, Debt Capital Markets. In his role, Kashif has developed and delivered several services and frameworks for clients in the energy sector, such as sustainability bond financing framework and perpetual preferred securities.

Kashif has also worked as a sell-side investment grade energy analyst in fixed income sector strategy. Prior to joining Credit Suisse in 2010, he held various positions at Pacific Life Insurance Company, Income Research and Management, Citizens Fund and Liberty Mutual Group.

Kashif earned his MBA from Suffolk University, his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Boston University, and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Punjab, Pakistan.
