CN Files Shelf Prospectus for C$6 Billion in Debt Securities

MONTREAL, May 05, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — CN (TSX: CNR) (NYSE: CNI) announced today that it has filed a final shelf prospectus with the Canadian securities regulators and a registration statement with of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), under which CN can issue up to C$6 billion of debt securities in the Canadian and American markets over the next 25 months.

CN intends to use the net proceeds from the sale of debt securities under the Shelf Prospectus for general corporate purposes, including the repayment and refinancing of outstanding debt, share repurchases, acquisitions and other business opportunities.
